| Dentists on Main will
supply responsible, rational, high
quality dental
care, carried out with the utmost respect for the patient. Dentists
on Main will continue using the
latest materials and methods that have been proven to be safe and effective.
Staff members will continue to attend classes and seminars outlining
new dental techniques, polishing needed business skills, developing
communication skills and cultivating leadership qualities.
Responsible means that the treatments proposed will be long term solutions to the patient's dental problem, arrived at only after careful diagnosis of the condition. Rational means that the patient's needs and desires will be taken into consideration when the treatment is proposed. High quality means that the dentists, the assistants and the hygienists will be ever vigilant to carry out their treatment with care and diligence. All this will be achieved by a happy, healthy, well respected dental staff who feel that they are part of a team. This mission will be accomplished by people who feel that their presence on that team, on this earth and in this profession, can make a difference.

| We're open 59 hours per week including evenings and
Saturdays. Monday 8am to 6pm We make every effort to stay on schedule but emergencies may arise which have to be seen before routine visits. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you but please be assured, if you call the office and are in pain, you will be seen immediately in order to make you comfortable. Emergencies Of course the best treatment for a toothache is to prevent it from happening in the first place. By scheduling regular cleaning visits and check-ups, we are more likely to keep your mouth healthy and trouble free. If you or a member of your family has a problem, please call us right away. Patients in pain are seen as soon as possible. Don’t wait, hoping that your problem will get better on its own. We want to see you to fix your problems before they become emergencies. Because of our extended office hours, we are easy to reach. However, if you do have a problem after hours, call our office at (248) 652-1010. The after hours message contains the phone numbers of the doctors.

Our Doctors We are proud to have four fine doctors in our practice to serve our patients. They pride themselves on being caring and compassionate. Each doctor is a key member of the total treatment team. The doctors meet informally during office hours to discuss treatment options of patients and formally monthly for patient case discussions. All of this is geared towards ensuring that the patients receive the best quality, most up to date and most comfortable treatment possible. Each doctor has a special interest area of expertise, which allows the team to provide superior service. All the doctors are members of The Oakland County Dental Society, The Michigan Dental Association and The American Dental Association.

We realize that everyone has a different personality and as such will feel at home with different people. Recognizing that fact, we would like you to meet all of the doctors so that you will feel comfortable being treated by any one of them, if the need arises. We accomplish this goal by varying the doctor who does your exam during your professional cleanings. However, we want you to feel free to specify which doctor you would most like to see most often in order to make you comfortable. This applies also to hygienists. We have many different hygienists and each one has her own unique personality. Try a number of different hygienists so that during those times that your favorite person is out of the office, you will feel comfortable having your teeth cleaned by any of our professional hygienists.

| Payment Policies Dental Insurance Patient Safety Water Quality Patient Responsibilities |
Payment Policies Payment is due at each office visit. We accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. We also offer Care Credit’s flexible payment options to help you. Just ask one of our well trained front desk staff members. They will be more than happy to help you. If you have dental insurance you will need to bring in any information that would help us process your claims in a prompt and efficient manner. We participate with most traditional dental plans including Delta Dental Plan of Michigan and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Remember, however, that all charges remain the responsibility of the patient. To protect the health of you and your family, we meet or exceed all governmental
standards for infection control. All of our hand pieces and instruments
are sterilized and stored in sterile packets. Many disposable items are
used, and treatment rooms are cleaned thoroughly and disinfected after
every patient. Our autoclave is tested monthly by the University of Detroit The quality and cleanliness of the water that we use during your treatment is of top concern for us. In order to assure that the water we use is clean and safe and in order to keep our waterlines clean, we use a self contained water system. That means that we use a bottle of water that is hooked up to each individual dental unit. The units are not hooked up to the municipal water supply. That water bottle is filled with fresh distilled water each day. In fact we have our own electrically powered water distiller capable of distilling 20 gallons of water each day. At the end of the day, all the waterlines are drained and cleared out with air. We use a special waterline disinfectant in order to prevent bacterial build up in the lines. We like to believe that we are way ahead in preventing problems for you. We have been using this system of self contained water since we have been in this office, long before anyone even knew that bacterial contamination in waterlines could be a problem. Rest assured that we will always stay ever vigilant to protect you the best that we know how. We always work to insure that the service we provide is of the highest quality. You can visit the company that produces our water distiller, Innowave at their website. It is your responsibility as a patient:
We realize that there may be times when you must change your appointment. Please give us 48 hours notice. The time we schedule for your appointment is for you alone, we do not “double book.” Therefore, if you don’t come in for your appointment, the doctor or hygienist has no one to see and that appointment is wasted. This isn’t fair to other patients who are waiting for an appointment.
